Changes in organic molecular marker signatures in soils amended with biochar during a three-year experiment with maize on a Fluvisol

چکیده
Abstract Biochar is widely used as a soil amendment to improve properties and tool absorb net carbon from the atmosphere. In this study we determined signatures of organic molecular markers in following incorporation 5 10 t/ha biochar Fluvisol, cultivated with maize at experimental field ISSAPP “N. Poushkarov” institute Bulgaria. The n- alkane distribution treated soils was uni- or bimodal maximizing n-C17 alkane, n-C18 C18 branched alkanes, i.e. there an imprint biomass burning, e.g. due predominance short chain (< C20) homologues increased microbial activity (presence alkanes). This also confirmed by values for average length (ACL) n-alkanes which indicated prevalence shorter (20–21 C atoms) variants longer residence time. There evidence trans-13-docosenamide, originated biochar. Fatty acids fatty alcohols distributions implicate contribution matter (SOM), supporting suggestion that addition can microbiological status.

Sorption, degradation and leaching of pesticides in soils amended with organic matter: A review
The use of pesticides in modern agriculture is unavoidable because they are required to control weeds. Pesticides are poisonous; hence, they are dangerous if misused. Understanding the fate of pesticides will be useful to use them safely. Therefore, contaminations of water and soil resources could be avoided. The fates of pesticides in soils are influenced by their sorption, decomposition and m...

The herbicide atrazine is used extensively throughout the United States, and is a widespread groundwater and surface water contaminant. Biochar has been shown to strongly sorb organic compounds and could be used to reduce atrazine leaching. We used lab and field experiments to determine biochar impacts on atrazine leaching under increasingly heterogeneous soil conditions. Application of pine ch...
